Add variant

You can see an example of how variants appears on the storefront here: Storefront > Product with variants.

When adding a product

1. From the Add Product page in the admin portal, click on ADD VARIANT

   

2. Fill in the required fields

   1. Option name - the variant category, e.g., variety, colour, size

   2. Option values - the variant options, e.g., 5lbs, 10lbs, 20lbs

      

   3. Click Done

3. Click SAVE CHANGES

4. To adjust the details of each variant (e.g., price, quantities), follow the instructions under Edit variant​

When editing a product

1. From the Edit Product page, click on ADD VARIANT ​

   

2. Fill in the fields

   1. TITLE - the variant option, e.g., 5lbs, 10lbs, 20lbs
   2. PRICE - the amount you'd like to be paid for the variant
   3. COMPARE AT PRICE - (optional) the original price if the current price is discounted (this will add a Sale label to the product in the storefront)
   4. SALES PRICE - the price that will be displayed to customers (auto-calculated based on the PRICE you set plus the platform markup)
   5. CHARGE TAXES ON THIS PRODUCT - select based on whether the product is subject to sales tax
   6. SKU - (optional)
   7. BARCODE - (optional)
   8. TRACK INVENTORY - leave the default as 'Track This Product's Inventory'

      Do not change TRACK INVENTORY to 'Don't Track Inventory'. Customers will not be able to purchase the product for pickup.

   9. QUANTITY

      1. Locations - check off your farm

         

      2. Available - the number of units available for sale

         If you don't actively track inventory quantities, set AVAILABLE to a very high number and be sure to deactivate the product listing soon as it sells out.

3. Click SAVE CHANGES
